Common Questions

What preparation is needed for the Well Man Scan?

Fast for at least 4 hours before your appointment (water is fine). Drink 1 litre of water about 1 hour before and do not empty your bladder. Both fasting and a full bladder are required for optimal imaging of all four areas.

How long does the Well Man Scan take?

The combined examination typically takes 40–50 minutes. Allow up to 75 minutes for your total appointment including preparation and results discussion.

What is the difference between the Well Man Scan and the Men's Full Body Scan?

The Well Man Scan covers 4 areas: abdomen, urinary tract, aorta, and testes. The Men's Full Body Scan adds thyroid and carotid artery assessment, making it a more comprehensive 6-scan package.

Will I get results on the day?

Yes. The sonographer will discuss findings with you immediately after the scan. A detailed written report is emailed within 24 hours.
